Spinal Needle is a thin, hollow needle used primarily for administering spinal anesthesia or for diagnostic lumbar punctures. It is designed to access the subarachnoid space in the lower spine, allowing for the injection of anesthesia or the collection of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for testing. Commonly, these needles have a stylet to prevent tissue clogging during insertion and a pencil-point or Quincke tip for varying levels of patient comfort and precision.
